We are an independent Family Practice medical office located in Williston, Vermont, serving patients of all ages. Our aim is to provide comprehensive, high quality, patient-centered care for the members of our community. In addition to our Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, we have an expansive clinical staff, including a Registered Dietitian, a Clinical Social Worker, Nurse and Social Work Care Coordinators, and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. We have onsite laboratory and digital x-ray services, which allow for more rapid diagnosis at lesser cost. For acute illness or injury, we offer same-day urgent appointments in our clinic 7 days a week.

READ OUR CORE VALUES

History

Thomas Chittenden Health Center (TCHC) was established in 1969 by Drs. John Lantman, Paul Stanilonis,  David Park, and Bill Ryan as the first independent group practice in the State of Vermont. It is named after the first settler in Williston, who became the first Governor of the newly-formed State of Vermont. Since its founding, TCHC has stayed true to the founders’ original guiding principle of providing high quality, personalized medical care for patients of all ages, from newborns through late adulthood. Over the years, our primary care practice has grown to include 4 Physicians, 3 Physician Assistants and 4 Nurse Practitioners, in addition to our associated clinical staff.

WHY INDEPENDENT PRACTICES ARE IMPORTANT

Medical Education

In addition to strong community ties, Thomas Chittenden Health Center practitioners are committed to the education of future generations of health care providers. We routinely accept 1st and 3rd year medical students from the Robert Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, physician assistant students from the University of New England and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and nurse practitioner students from the University of Vermont College of Nursing. If your provider has a student working with them, you will have the choice whether or not you would like the student participating in your care, along with your provider.
